Solar PV Installer Location: Cumbria Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 DOE Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm About the Company ASA Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established and growing solar energy business delivering high-quality residential and commercial PV installations across the North of England. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to expand their installation team. The Role This is a hands-on Solar PV Installer position working on a variety of rooftop systems. The role will involve working as part of a small, close-knit team delivering installations from initial setup through to completion. You will be responsible for carrying out installations safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while representing the business professionally on-site. Full training will be provided for the right individual, particularly those coming from a roofing or construction background. Key Responsibilities * Installation of solar PV systems on residential and commercial rooftops * Mounting of panels, rails and associated fixing systems * Carrying out roof work including tile removal/reinstatement and weatherproofing * Assisting with DC cabling and basic electrical connections (where trained) * Supporting inverter installation and system setup * Working at height in line with health & safety regulations * Ensuring all installations meet industry standards and company quality expectations * Maintaining tools, equipment and company vehicles * Liaising with team members and site leads to ensure smooth project delivery * Providing a professional and customer-friendly service on-site Requirements * Strong practical skills with a hands-on approach * Physically fit and comfortable working at height and outdoors in all weather conditions * Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team * Full UK driving licence and own transport * Must be based within Cumbria Desirable Experience * Previous solar PV installation experience * Roofing, building or general construction background * Electrical knowledge or experience (e.g. working alongside electricians) * Familiarity with working on domestic rooftops and/or commercial projects What’s on Offer * £35,000 – £45,000 salary depending on experience and level * Full training and ongoing development * 28 days holiday including bank holidays * Pension scheme * Stable, long-term opportunity within a growing renewable energy company * Opportunity to progress into more senior installation or supervisory roles over time
