Software Engineer II (Python/React) Join us at JPMorgan Chase as a Software Engineer II on the Commercial & Investment Bank – Securities Services Analytics Technology team. You will work on the in‑house Athena platform, collaborating closely with Quantitative Research and line‑of‑business partners to deliver trusted, market‑leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable. Job Responsibilities

Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting across the full software development lifecycle. Write secure, high‑quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems. Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot considering upstream and downstream systems and technical implications. Gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and support decision‑making. Apply technical troubleshooting to solve issues of basic complexity. Advocate for long‑term, strategic solutions rather than short‑term tactical fixes. Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events exploring new technologies. Required Qualifications & Capabilities

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with applied experience. Strong analytical and programming skills; solid understanding of computer science fundamentals. Proficiency in Python and React / TypeScript. Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment. Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle. Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Scrum, Application Resiliency, and Security. Team‑winning attitude, collaborating with a global development team.

Preferred Qualifications & Capabilities

Advanced skills in Python and React / TypeScript. Hands‑on experience with the JPMorgan Athena platform. Experience with public‑cloud technologies, especially AWS. AWS – EKS or Terraform certifications.
