Position Overview:

As a Social Worker / Senior Practitioner (Children's), you will be responsible for managing your caseload, providing expert supervision, and contributing to practice development within our children's services team. This contract role offers a chance to develop your skills while making a meaningful impact.

Contract Details:

  • Duration: 3 months with possible extension
  • Employment Type: Contract

  • Pay Rates:
  • Social Worker / Band 1 (ASYE + 2+ years’ experience): £28.55/hour inclusive of holiday pay
  • Senior Social Worker / Band 2 (ASYE + 3+ years’ experience): £30.57/hour  inclusive of holiday pay
  • Advanced/Senior Practitioner / Assistant Team Manager: £33.30/hour  inclusive of holiday pay
Candidate Responsibilities:

As a Social Worker / Senior Practitioner (Children's), your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and prioritising a caseload of children and families, ensuring timely interventions.
  • Conducting assessments ensuring the best outcomes for children.
  • Producing clear, comprehensive reports and case notes.
  • Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams and partner organisations.
  • Providing supervision and support to junior team members when needed.
  • Contributing to practice development, sharing knowledge, and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Upholding safeguarding procedures and maintaining compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Participating in team meetings, case reviews, and training sessions.
  • Engaging in reflective practice to develop personal and team performance.
