Salary: Up to £44,946 per annum (inclusive of market allowance) + annual retention payment

Job Introduction

A vacancy has arisen for a Social Worker to join the Kinship and Post Order Support Team. This is an exciting time to join the team and we are seeking a child focused social worker to join us in our improvement journey.

The successful applicant will work with connected carers and special guardianship applicants with an emphasis on assessment work, developing support plans as well as developing our support services for Special Guardians.

A large proportion of the work within the team is undertaking court directed assessments of friends and families when alternative care plans are being considered for children. This is an exciting yet challenging and complex area of social work. We are looking for experienced professionals who have good knowledge of working within a kinship carers team, a professional who has dynamism to manage a varied case load.
