What you will do
Lead and manage a team of social workers, ensuring effective handling of referrals, assessments, and safeguarding interventions. Facilitate the delivery of statutory duties, including Child in Need (Section 17) and Child Protection (Section 47) processes. Provide supervision, performance management, and professional development to staff, fostering high standards of practice. Oversee and quality assure assessments, care plans, and reports, ensuring compliance with legislation and local procedures.
Qualifications
Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent) Evidence of continued professional development Management or leadership qualification (desirable)
Registration & Compliance
Registered with Social Work England Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks: Children Act 1989 and 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, Public Law Outline (PLO) Enhanced DBS clearance
