Social Media ManagerAs Uprated continues to expand, we are looking to welcome a Social Media Manager to join our talented team and take ownership of organic social strategy across our growing list of clients, many of which are household names.This role goes beyond execution. You'll be leading the strategic direction of social media across a portfolio of client accounts, working closely with our creative and client services teams to deliver campaigns that genuinely move the dial. Our clients predominantly sit in the ecommerce, outdoors, home and lifestyle and beauty sectors, giving you the opportunity to work across a varied and ambitious range of brands.You will bring a strong agency background and a clear point of view on what great social looks like. You7re someone who can lead a client conversation with confidence, translate a brief into a compelling strategy, and inspire a team to produce their best work.We offer a relaxed office environment on the top floor of an art deco building in the Lansdowne area of central Bournemouth, only a short walk from the beach.This role will offer flexible options for splitting time between the office and working remotely. Whilst we anticipate this to be a full-time position, we are also open to flexible working days and hours for the right candidate.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead the development and delivery of organic social media strategies across multiple client accounts, ensuring all activity is grounded in audience insight and aligned to broader marketing objectivesOwn strategic content planning, including channel strategy, content calendars, and creative direction across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and emerging platformsAct as a senior social point of contact for clients, leading meetings, presenting strategy, and managing day-to-day relationships at a senior stakeholder levelCollaborate with our creative team to brief and deliver best-in-class social content and campaignsLead campaign ideation sessions, bringing fresh creative thinking rooted in platform knowledge and cultural awarenessManage community engagement and moderation across client accounts, maintaining brand voice and response standardsIdentify and manage influencer and creator partnerships, including campaign planning, outreach, and performance trackingOwn social reporting and insight delivery, translating performance data into clear strategic recommendationsMentor and support junior members of the social team, reviewing output and developing their skillsLead internal agency social channels in partnership with the Client Services Manager, contributing to Uprated's own brand presence and new business pipelineStay ahead of platform developments, algorithm changes, and cultural trends, bringing proactive recommendations to clients and the wider teamThis is an outline Job Description and employees are expected to undertake other duties as directed.Required Skills and ExperienceMinimum 4 to 5 years of social media experience, with the majority gained within an agency environment managing multiple client accounts simultaneouslyDemonstrable track record of developing and delivering organic social strategies that have driven meaningful results for brandsDeep platform knowledge across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, with a strong understanding of how each channel requires a distinct approachProven experience leading client relationships at a senior level, including presenting strategy, handling difficult conversations, and building long-term trustStrong creative instincts combined with a data-driven mindset, able to balance brand storytelling with performance insightExperience managing and mentoring junior team membersExcellent copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone of voice across multiple client brandsProficiency in social publishing and reporting tools such as Sprout Social or similarExperience with video editing tools such as CapCut or Premiere Pro for short-form contentSolid understanding of influencer marketing, from identification through to campaign deliveryStrong design sensibility with experience using Canva, Photoshop, or similarBonus PointsNot essential, but good to have:Experience contributing to new business pitches, proposals, or credentials decksFamiliarity with paid social and how it integrates with organic strategyWhat\'s In It For You?A salary between £38,000 and £45,000 depending on experienceA competitive holiday allowance that increases with each year of employmentYour birthday off (on top of your normal annual leave)A clear opportunity to shape the social offering as the team growsFlexible remote working optionsOpportunities to attend leading digital marketing conferencesCompetitive Maternity and Paternity leaveCoffees, teas and snacks when in the officeContributory pension schemeNext StepsSounds good?
