Role - SoC Functional Validation Engineer
Location - Bristol, UK (Candidates must be open to travel when required . Initially, the role will require onsite presence in Bristol, UK for approximately 1 month) Contract - Inside IR35

Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled SoC Functional Validation Engineer to join our team in Bristol, UK . This role focuses on functional validation and bring-up of next-generation SoC platforms featuring high-end ARM processors and advanced interfaces .
Key Responsibilities Perform functional validation of a new SoC designed with high-end ARM processors.

Execute functional bring-up of SoC interfaces such as:
LPDDR

Ethernet

PCIe

HBM

CPUs

Low-Speed IOs (UART, I2C, I3C, SPI)

Coherent Mesh

Develop bare-metal C tests and debug using FPGA HAPS / Zebu emulation platforms , followed by silicon-based target hardware .

Design and implement test infrastructure for validation activities.

Collaborate with stakeholders including:
Architects

RTL Verification teams

Electrical Testing & Characterization teams

Production Firmware teams

Essential Skills Strong proficiency in Embedded C .

Experience with high-speed protocols such as:
PCIe Gen6

Die-to-die links

LPDDR5

HBM3

Hands-on expertise with ARM high-end CPUs and ARM cache-coherent interconnect protocols .

Proven validation experience on pre-silicon and post-silicon platforms .

Desirable Skills Python scripting for automation.

Experience in Silicon SoC bring-up .

Development of high-speed interface device drivers .
