Pertemps are excited to be recruiting on behalf of AQA for a proactive Site Support & Facilities Operative to help keep their busy exam‑season site running smoothly.

This is a hands‑on, varied role ideal for someone with maintenance, caretaking, facilities, or general building support experience who enjoys problem‑solving, practical tasks, and supporting people on‑site.

About the Role
You’ll play a vital part in ensuring the site remains safe, tidy, and fully operational during AQA’s busiest period.
This includes a strong focus on general maintenance and facilities support, such as:

small repairs,
basic DIY tasks,
moving equipment,
routine checks,
supporting the facilities team with day‑to‑day building needs.

You’ll also provide a visible on‑site presence and assist with car park coordination when required — but this is secondary to the core facilities and maintenance duties.

Key Responsibilities
Facilities & Maintenance

Carry out general maintenance duties across the site
Support basic repairs, DIY tasks, and minor fixes (e.g., replacing items, tightening fittings, small adjustments)
Conduct routine checks around the building
Move, organise, and set up equipment or furniture
Keep shared areas tidy, safe, and well maintained
Assist Facilities staff with daily operational tasks

On‑Site Support & Car Park Coordination

Provide a helpful and professional presence on‑site
Monitor the car park as required
Politely request vehicle movement when necessary
Support smooth flow of staff and visitors

What We’re Looking For

Experience in maintenance, facilities, caretaking, handyman work, warehouse support, or similar
Confident carrying out basic repairs and practical tasks
Comfortable speaking to staff and visitors politely but clearly
Reliable, organised, and proactive
Friendly, approachable, and professional attitude
Able to follow instructions and work independently
Happy working Monday–Saturday
