Job Description
Site/Project Manager - North Lincolnshire \nSector: Civil Engineering / Heavy Civils / Reinforced Concrete \n________________________________________ \nRole Overview \nThe Site Manager / Project Manager will lead the safe and efficient delivery of reinforced concrete and heavy civil engineering projects. This includes planning, programming, commercial awareness, stakeholder coordination, and technical oversight from early works through to handover. The position requires a detailed understanding of FRC construction methodologies, temporary works, groundworks, structures, interface management, and working within complex, high-risk environments.
\n________________________________________ \nExperience delivering or managing works such as: \n- Reinforced concrete foundations and slabs \n- RC structures, retaining walls & podiums \n- Culverts, chambers & underground structures \n- Bridges, piers & abutments \n- Heavy civils enabling works \n- Excavation, groundwater control & formwork systems \n- Drainage & utilities coordination \n- Industrial and commercial infrastructure \n- Sectional handovers and phased delivery works \n________________________________________ \nKey Responsibilities \nSite & Delivery Management \n- Lead delivery of FRC and heavy civils scopes on time, safely and to specification. \n- Oversee workforce, sub-contractors and suppliers with daily coordination. \n- Ensure method statements, risk assessments and permits are in place and adhered to.
\n- Drive productivity and sequencing to meet programme milestones. \n- Coordinate with Temporary Works and Design personnel for approvals and lift plans. \n- Control quality of workmanship with inspections, test plans and as-built documentation.
\n \nHealth, Safety & Environment \n- Maintain ongoing SHE leadership and compliance on site. \n- Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings. \n- Promote a zero-harm culture and enforce safe systems of work.
\n- Ensure compliance with environmental constraints including waste, water and noise controls. \n \nCommercial & Cost Control \n- Track labour, plant and material usage against allowances. \n- Support commercial team with variations, re-measurements and progress claims.
\n- Identify and report change, risk and opportunities early. \n- Contribute to procurement of materials, plant and sub-contracts. \n \nPlanning & Programme \n- Develop short-term lookaheads and sequencing logic for FRC works.
\n- Coordinate with planners on baseline programmes and progress updates. \n- Track progress against critical path activities. \n- Identify mitigations for delay, access constraints and interface risks.
\n \nStakeholder & Client Coordination \n- Represent the project at client and progress meetings. \n- Coordinate with designers, engineers, and third parties to resolve site issues. \n- Ensure technical queries are raised and closed prior to execution.
\n- Support structured handover and commissioning processes. \n________________________________________ \nTechnical Competencies \n- Formwork & falsework systems (e.g. Peri, Doka, RMD) \n- Reinforcement detailing and buildability \n- Concrete mix, pour, cure and testing regimes \n- Temporary works and lifting operations \n- Groundworks, dewatering and excavation support \n- Reading drawings, schedules and specs \n- QA documentation, ITPs, NCRs and as-builts \n________________________________________ \nExperience & Background \n- Proven experience managing FRC / heavy civils delivery packages \n- Track record on infrastructure or industrial civils projects \n- Experience managing direct labour and subcontractors \n- Understanding of contractual obligations and commercial drivers \n________________________________________ \nQualifications \nEssential: \n- SSSTS / SMSTS \n- CSCS (Manager / Supervisor level) \n- First Aid at Work \n- Temporary Works awareness \n \nDesirable: \n- HNC / HND / Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management \n- Temporary Works Coordinator \n- Lifting Operations training (AP/Slinger/Signaller) \n- Confined Space / CAT & Genny / Fire Marshall \n \nFor more information on this role please contact Jack Burton on (phone number removed) or via email on (url removed)
