Site Manager An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join a well‑established civil engineering contractor delivering specialist structural and infrastructure projects across the North East. The business operates across a diverse portfolio of works including bridge deck waterproofing, expansion joints, structural concrete repair, steel strengthening, cathodic protection, and access solutions. This role offers the chance to work on technically challenging projects with a contractor known for delivering high‑quality engineering solutions across infrastructure environments. The Role As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities include:
Managing day‑to‑day site operations Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards Producing and implementing Work Package Plans and Task Briefing Sheets Coordinating subcontractors, labour, plant and materials Maintaining accurate site documentation and reporting Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders Driving a positive safety culture across site operations
About You
Background in Civil Engineering Proven experience delivering infrastructure or structural projects Strong organisational and leadership skills Experience producing safe systems of work (WPPs, TBS, etc.) Good understanding of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements Ability to lead teams and deliver projects safely and on programme Strong client‑facing skills
Qualifications
SMSTS CSCS Card Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering (or related discipline) preferred
