We are recruiting for an experienced Freelance Commercial Groundworks Site Manager to manage a commercial groundworks package on a project based in Liverpool. This role is offered on a CIS or Ltd Company basis and provides a long-term contract for the right individual. The Role: You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring the groundworks package is delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard.
Manage all on-site groundworks activities from start to completion Oversee drainage, foundations, services, concrete works, and external works Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, RAMS, and site procedures Liaise with project managers, engineers, quantity surveyors, and client teams Maintain accurate site documentation, progress reports, and daily briefings. Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial groundworks projects Valid SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certification Strong understanding of groundworks sequencing and site logistics Ability to manage busy, fast-paced construction sites Excellent communication and leadership skills Right to work in the UK Competitive day rate paid via CIS or Ltd Company
