Site Manager – Construction – BESS – Battery Energy Storage - Kent, England – Contract

A leading contractor in the renewable energy sector is seeking an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of a utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in the South East. The client is entering a key mobilisation phase and requires a strong site leader to manage day to day activities, maintain structure, and support the wider delivery team through a fast-paced programme.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead daily site activities and coordinate subcontractors and on-site delivery teams.

* Manage site setup, logistics and sequencing of works.

* Maintain oversight of HSE, quality, and programme alignment.

* Report directly to the project’s senior leadership and support interface with engineering and commissioning teams.

* Ensure structured documentation, issue tracking, and compliance with project standards.

* Drive progress and maintain discipline across all site operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Prior experience as a Site Manager on BESS, Solar PV, HV or LV infrastructure projects.

* Strong organisational and coordination skills on multi-discipline construction sites.

* Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain high delivery standards.

* Comfortable working in a high-tempo environment with shifting programme priorities.

* Strong communication and reporting skills.

Contract Details:

* Start Date: January 2026

* End Date: October 2026 with extension potential

* Location: Kent, England (on-site)
