We are recruiting a Site Manager to work on behalf of a groundworks contractor. The role involves managing and delivering civil engineering and groundworks packages safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. You will work closely with the Contracts Manager and project team to ensure successful day-to-day site operations.ResponsibilitiesOverseeing Health & Safety and Quality standards across all groundworks activitiesSupervising site personnel, operatives, and subcontractorsManaging the day-to-day running of groundworks and civil engineering works on siteDaily and weekly planning of works, labour, plant, and resources in conjunction with the Contracts ManagerImplementing and communicating short-term programmes to site teamsRecording site activities and resources, including:Daily site diariesAllocation and daywork sheetsPhotographic recordsDrawing mark-ups and as-built informationManaging material requests and call-offs, checking and collating delivery tickets, and overseeing on-site material controlCoordinating permits, setting-out requests, and planning of groundworks activitiesDelivering daily site briefings and coordination meetingsDelivering RAMS briefings and providing input to the Contracts Manager for RAMS preparation and updatesCarrying out regular Health & Safety inspectionsDelivering toolbox talks relevant to groundworks and civil engineering activitiesEnsuring all daily and weekly site safety and quality documentation is completed, collated, and filedAttending site and coordination meetings as requiredLiaising daily with the main contractor and other stakeholders on siteIdentifying and reporting potential changes, instructions, delays, or variations to the Project Manager and Quantity SurveyorRequirementsProven knowledge and experience in groundworks and civil engineeringExperience working for a contractor or subcontractorRelevant CSCS cardSSSTS or SMSTS essentialNRSWA supervisors card beneficialFull clean driving licenceGood people management and organisational skillsThis role comes with a company van and fuel card.JBRP1_UKTJ
