Job Title: Freelance Site Manager (x2) – Curtain Walling / Façade
Location: Stoke-on-Trent (University of Staffordshire) Duration: Freelance – 6 month contract Start: ASAP
Overview: A specialist contractor is seeking two experienced Freelance Site Managers to support the delivery of a £3M envelope package at the University of Staffordshire. The project involves curtain walling and other façade works wrapped around a glulam (glue-laminated timber) frame. Strong curtain walling knowledge and an emphasis on quality assurance (QA) are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to specification

Manage the façade installation including curtain walling systems on a live university site
*
Ensure all QA processes are followed rigorously and documentation is maintained to the highest standard
*
Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, particularly those involved in envelope and cladding installation
*
Report to the Project Manager with updates on progress, issues, and logistics
*
Maintain a clean and compliant site, ensuring adherence to health & safety regulations
*
Liaise with the wider project team, consultants, and client representatives when required
