Project Overview: A Tier 1 civil engineering contractor is seeking a freelance Site Manager to support the delivery of a major roundabout upgrade project in Northampton. The project forms part of a wider strategic highways improvement programme.

The role will involve managing day-to-day site activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the required specification and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily site operations across all phases of the roundabout upgrade Supervise subcontractors, direct labour, and suppliers on-site Coordinate activities such as drainage, earthworks, utilities diversions, kerbing, and surfacing Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, CDM regs, and project-specific RAMS Maintain site records, diaries, and progress reports Manage and support temporary works and traffic management setups Work closely with the project management team, local authorities, and client reps Required Certifications & Qualifications:
