Site Manager - Groundworks Packages - Freelance Your new company Specialist contractor working on the adoption, remediation, and delivery of residential infrastructure throughout the UK.

Your new role Site Manager required to for upcoming schemes in March, overseeing groundworks packages on major residential developments throughout Cambridgeshire, in particular Peterborough and Huntingdon. As Site Manager you will take responsibility for the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of groundworks and infrastructure works across multiple residential schemes. You’ll coordinate subcontractors, manage day-to-day site activities, and ensure all works meet programme, budget, and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage daily site operations for groundworks and infrastructure packages. Coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant, and materials Ensure works are delivered to specification, programme, and quality standards Maintain strict health, safety, and environmental compliance Conduct site inspections, progress reporting, and risk assessments Liaise with internal teams and stakeholders Resolve technical or operational issues promptly and effectively Maintain accurate site records, permits, and documentation

What you'll need to succeed Proven experience managing groundworks on residential developments

Strong understanding of drainage, roads, utilities, and infrastructure works

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid
