We’re currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction of a single-storey school extension in Taunton. This is a key role on a live education site, requiring a highly organised and capable individual with a strong track record in managing similar projects from start to finish.
The Role:
*
Managing the day-to-day site operations as the stand-alone Site Manager
*
Coordinating subcontractors, deliveries, and site activities
*
Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained to a high level
*
Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager
*
Managing quality control, programme milestones, and site documentation
*
Representing the contractor in client and consultant meetings
Requirements:
*
Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certificates (all essential)
*
Experience delivering small to medium-sized education or public sector projects
*
Ability to lead on-site independently with minimal supervision
*
Strong understanding of health & safety and site compliance procedures
*
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
