School Site Manager - Canterbury Hours: Monday to Friday Pay: £14+ per hour Employer: Academics, supporting a local schoolAcademics are currently seeking a full-time School Site Manager to join a welcoming school in Canterbury. This is a practical, hands-on role with leadership responsibilities, ideal for someone with a background in caretaking, facilities, or site management within a school or similar environment.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the daily opening, closing, and overall security of the school siteManage general maintenance, repairs, and the upkeep of buildings and groundsCarry out routine health and safety checks, ensuring full complianceSupervise site staff, contractors, and cleaning teamsPrepare rooms and facilities for lessons, events, and school functionsMaintain a clean, safe, and well-presented school environmentProvide ad-hoc support to staff with site-related needsImplement and uphold site procedures and operational standardsThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:Previous experience in a site manager, caretaker, or facilities role (desirable)Strong leadership skills with experience overseeing staff or contractorsA proactive, hands-on approach with good problem-solving abilitySound knowledge of health and safety regulationsThe ability to work independently and use initiativeAn enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)This is a great opportunity to secure a full-time role with school-friendly hours, working within a supportive and positive environment.JBRP1_UKTJ
