Site Manager – Earthworks Package Start Date: 11/08 Principal Contractor | £30M Industrial Project | Derby Freelance Contract |

A leading principal contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the earthworks package on a major £30M industrial project based in Derby.

This role is due to start on 11th August and is offered on a freelance basis, with a competitive day rate available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of the earthworks package, including enabling works, excavation, cut and fill, and ground remediation

*

Coordinate and manage subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and programme compliance

*

Maintain accurate site records and ensure work is delivered to the highest standard

*

Work closely with the Project Manager and wider site team to ensure seamless project delivery

Requirements:

*

Proven experience managing earthworks packages on major construction schemes

*

Strong knowledge of groundworks processes, health and safety regulations, and site documentation

*

SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications

*

Excellent leadership and communication skills
