Permanent Position - 52-week contract. 15 hours per week: Monday - Friday 7:00–10:00am. Candidates must also be able to work extra hours as required, for additional payment. Salary: Grade G SCP19-23 £32,061–£34,434 pro rata. Actual salary: £12,997–£13,959 per annum (£16.62–£17.85 per hour). Holiday: 28 days plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time hours, rising to 30 days after 5 years’ service).Stanley Green Infant Academy is a popular and forward-thinking school and nursery that promotes a values-based and inclusive ethos to ensure quality first teaching for all children. It is our mission to promote a lifelong ‘Love for learning, Love for Life’!We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated, motivated and practical person to assist with the security, safety, cleanliness and general maintenance of the school site.Main Duties And ResponsibilitiesEnsure the safe and efficient running of the school premises.Responsible for site security including the daily opening and closing of the school and outside normal hours for school events as required.Attend emergency call outs where necessary as the principal key holder.Carry out risk assessments and regular checking and record keeping to meet legislative Health & Safety requirements, e.g. COSHH, legionella, fire alarm system etc.Have good basic plumbing, painting and carpentry skills and the ability to carry out routine maintenance activities.Manage a program of planned and preventative maintenance undertaking minor repairs, maintenance and redecoration liaising with contractors when necessary.Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the school, liaising with the Contract Cleaners and carrying out some specific cleaning tasks.Monitor stocks and ordering supplies.Attend CPD and training as required.The Ideal Candidate ShouldBe reliable and flexibleBe able to work independently, using their own initiative, including prioritising workloads and contributing to the needs of the children and whole school team.Be a strong team playerBe able to communicate well with adults and childrenHave good basic plumbing, painting and carpentry skillsHold an NVQ qualification in Site Management/Carpentry/Painting and DecoratingHave good ICT skillsWe Can Offer YouA friendly and supportive working environmentA commitment to ongoing continuing professional developmentOne wellbeing day per yearAccess to free health and wellbeing servicesWe welcome applications from exceptional candidates who will make an effective contribution to our high attaining, popular and forward-thinking Single Academy Trust.Seniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionHuman ResourcesIndustriesGovernment AdministrationWe’re staying open to applicants and invite you to apply for this role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
