Job Description
Site Manager – Utility‑Scale Solar PV\n\nLocation: Cambridge area\nStart Date: February 2026\nContract Length: 16–18 months\nEmployer: Unify HQ\n\nRate: £(Apply online only) a day for the right Candidate\n\nUnify HQ is supporting a major renewable energy developer in the appointment of an experienced Site Manager to oversee delivery of an 84MW Solar PV project in the Cambridge region. This is a long‑term contract role suited to someone confident running a busy construction site, coordinating multiple contractors, and ensuring works progress safely, efficiently, and to specification.\n\nThe Role\n\nYou will take ownership of day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring installation activities are delivered to programme, quality standards, and HSE requirements. Working closely with EPC and ICP partners, you’ll maintain strong communication with the client project team and keep all stakeholders aligned throughout the build.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Maintain full compliance with all quality, safety, and environmental standards across the site\n\n * Coordinate EPC and ICP contractors, ensuring clear communication and efficient workflow\n\n * Oversee day‑to‑day site operations and manage all construction activities\n\n * Review and control RAMS, method statements, permits, and all relevant site documentation\n\n * Track progress against programme and provide clear updates to the project team\n\n * Support energisation, handover, and final completion activities\n\nRequirements\n\n * Demonstrable experience managing utility‑scale Solar PV projects of 20MW+\n\n * Strong track record in contractor and subcontractor coordination\n\n * SMSTS (or equivalent safety qualification) highly desirable\n\n * Solid understanding of MV works, cable installation, and solar construction sequencing\n\n * Confident delivering on‑site leadership, progress reporting, and effective problem‑solving\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * Long‑term contract (16–18 months)\n\n * February 2026 start\n\n * Opportunity to deliver a high‑profile solar project with a respected developer\n\nTo Apply:\n\nInterested candidates should submit a CV and a covering letter detailing their experience and suitability for the role to James Feeley, Department Lead at Unify Renewables.\n\nIf you have the skill set and are interested in being put forward for this new and exciting position, then please forward your CV immediately.\n\nUnify HQ Limited is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
