Konnect are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the completion phase of a school extension and refurbishment project in Wantage, Oxfordshire.
This role is ideal for a hands-on Site Manager with a strong background in education-sector projects, and ideally a tier 1 background.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day site operations through to project completion
*
Oversee subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring works are delivered on programme
*
Ensure all works comply with health & safety regulations, site policies, and safeguarding requirements
*
Coordinate with the project team, client representatives, and school staff
*
Maintain high standards of quality control and site presentation
*
Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings
*
Manage RAMS, permits, and site documentation
*
Report progress, risks, and issues to the Project Manager
*
Ensure works are completed with minimal disruption to the school environment
Essential Requirements:
*
Proven experience delivering school builds, extensions, or refurbishments
*
Strong knowledge of working within live school environments
*
Gold CSCS card (or above)
*
SMSTS
*
First Aid at Work
*
DBS check ()
*
Ability to provide recent, relevant references
