Job Description
Job Role: Site Manager\n\nLocation: North West/Greater Manchester\n\nJob Type: Permanent\n\nA well‑established construction contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a variety of refurbishment and framework projects across the Greater Manchester region. Around 70% of work is based locally, with additional projects across Lancashire.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nYou will manage a diverse portfolio of works including:\n\nRefurbishment projects\n\nDemolition\n\nWaterproofing\n\nFit‑out works\n\nWorking at height\n\nOffice and school projects\n\nOccasional extension and new‑build\n\nThe business operates across multiple long‑term frameworks, delivering consistent work streams in the public and commercial sectors.\n\nYou will oversee teams of 6-8 operatives, typically based around the Greater Manchester area ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.\n\nExperience Required\n\nProven experience managing refurbishment projects\n\nBackground in extensions (Not Residential) \n\nStrong understanding of site safety, compliance, and working at height\n\nAbility to manage subcontractors, direct labour, and client relationships\n\nSMSTS, First Aid, CSCS Black or Gold Card, Scaffold Inspection, Temporary Works\n\nSalary & Benefits\n\n£40,000 - £48,000 per annum\n\nCar allowance\n\n24 days holiday + bank holidays\n\nOnline training programme\n\nAnnual bonus\n\nSalary review every year\n\nHealthcare\n\nWorking Hours\n\nStandard sites: 07.00am-04.00pm (3.00pm finish on a Friday)
