No.1 Site Manager - New Build Residential Project (Queen's Park) Project: New build of two high-end residential houses Location: Tiverton Road, Queen's Park Project Value: £1.2m Start Date: 5th January Duration: 8 months (potential for long-term work for the right candidate) About the Role Looking for an experienced No.1 Site Manager to take full responsibility for a new-build project that has just reached frame stage. Brickwork is due to commence in the first week of January, and the Site Manager will oversee all on-site activity, ensuring smooth coordination of trades, subcontractors, and programme deliverables. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day site operations and act as the primary on-site point of contact. Manage and coordinate all subcontractors, particularly overseeing brickwork packages. Ensure work is carried out safely, to specification, and in line with programme and quality standards. Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and maintain site documentation. Monitor progress, maintain daily records, and report to senior management. Uphold health & safety compliance and site presentation. Requirements Proven experience as a No.1 Site Manager on new-build residential projects. Trade background - carpentry or bricklaying highly desirable. Strong ability to read and work from technical drawings. Computer literate with basic proficiency in site documentation and reporting. Valid SMSTS and First Aid certifications. Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills. Ability to drive programme, maintain quality standards, and manage subcontractors effectively.
