Site manager - Fit out

My client is looking for a site manager in Leeds city centre to join their busy team on a fit‑out project. This is a temporary ongoing job. Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight: Manage the end‑to‑end fit‑out process, from initial site setup to final handover, ensuring compliance with design, budget, and schedule. Subcontractor & Team Management: Coordinate, schedule, and lead diverse teams (joiners, electricians, plumbers) to ensure smooth workflow and quality output, preventing overlaps. Health & Safety: Implement and enforce strict H&S protocols, conduct risk assessments and toolbox talks, and ensure CDM regulations are met. Quality Control: Ensure all finishes, installations (ceilings, floors, bespoke joinery, services), and the final product meet client expectations and high‑spec standards. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain site records, progress reports, method statements, site diaries, and report to the Project/Contracts Manager. Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the main point of contact, providing updates and fostering strong relationships with clients, designers, and internal teams. Logistics & Resource Management: Oversee material delivery, site cleanliness, security, and resolve unexpected issues.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in commercial fit‑outs, ideally with high‑spec finishes. Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Knowledge of H&S, CDM Regulations, and relevant building codes. Qualifications: SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, First Aid. Technical knowledge of internal trades and construction processes. Ability to work on own initiative and be hands‑on.
