The Site Engineer role is required in Ipswich for our client operating within the civil engineering sector, specifically supporting large-scale ground engineering projects such as those at Sizewell C. This role involves overseeing the planning, coordination, and delivery of piling and drilling activities on-site, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and technical standards while managing resources, materials, and subcontractors effectively. You will play a crucial part in delivering complex ground improvement works using advanced tools such as piling rigs, soil mixing plants, and diaphragm walling equipment.
Site Engineer Job Overview
Manage daily site operations including coordinating labour, plant, and materials to meet project specifications and schedules for piling, soil mixing, and retaining structures. Ensure all works comply with technical drawings, specifications, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Risk Assessments (RAMS), permits, and safety protocols. Conduct site safety investigations and lead toolbox talks to promote a safety-first culture and ensure adherence to permit requirements.
