Bennett & Game Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a well-established and reputable civil engineering contractor, based in Brackley, Northamptonshire, who are looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer to support projects across South Oxfordshire and the surrounding regions.Our client delivers high-quality civil engineering solutions to the residential sector, specialising in roads, drainage, and groundworks across a diverse portfolio of housing developments, ranging from small schemes to large-scale projects.The RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented engineer to take ownership of key site engineering responsibilities while working within a supportive and experienced team.Key ResponsibilitiesSetting out for all aspects of works with a high level of accuracyOverseeing and managing the technical delivery of projects on siteUtilising modern surveying equipment (e.g. GPS, Total Stations)Interpreting and working from technical drawings, including CADEnsuring works are carried out in line with specifications and design requirementsLiaising effectively with clients, subcontractors, and site teamsReviewing and updating drawings and technical information as requiredMaintaining accurate as-built recordsAssisting with earthworks calculations Providing technical guidance and resolving on-site challengesOrdering materials and managing take-offsMonitoring and promoting health & safety standards on siteSupporting the adoption process of roads and sewers with relevant authoritiesRequirementsHNC (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related construction disciplineProven experience in a Site Engineer role within civil engineering or groundworksStrong setting out and surveying capabilitiesWorking knowledge of CAD and relevant engineering softwareExcellent communication and organisational skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a wider teamFull UK driving licenceBennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.We are acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy, and in accordance with GDPR by applying you are granting us consent to process your data, contact you about the services we offer, and submit your CV for the role you have applied for.
