Shift Technician / Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Location: Leicester Shifts: Continental shift pattern (12-hour shifts – days & nights) Salary: £54,000 + Shift allowance + Quarterly Incentive Contract: Permanent
Regional Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Shift Technician / Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a large, fast-paced manufacturing site in Leicester.
This role would suit an electrically biased maintenance engineer who enjoys working in a highly automated environment and takes pride in plant reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.
The Role
Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing equipment
Diagnose faults and support root cause analysis to improve plant reliability
Support autonomous maintenance teams through coaching and technical guidance
Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and to quality standards
Contribute to continuous improvement, 5S, and reliability initiatives
Requirements
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering or time-served apprenticeship
Electrical or electro-mechanical background
Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment preferred
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Ability to work continental shifts, including nights and weekends
