We're looking for skilled and reliable Shift Mechanical Engineers to join a large, critical hospital site in Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced engineers who thrive in a high-pressure environment and want a secure, long-term role working on essential building services within healthcare.
What you'll be doing:
✔️ Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on mechanical building services
✔️ Fault finding and repairing heating, cooling, and associated systems
✔️ Monitoring, operating, and maintaining critical plant equipment
✔️ Supporting the continuous operation of essential hospital systems
✔️ Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety and compliance regulations
✔️ Maintaining accurate shift reports and maintenance documentation
✔️ Escalating faults and issues within a highly regulated environment
What we're looking for:
* Mechanical apprenticeship trained or equivalent qualification (essential)
* Proven experience within a large or complex facilities environment
* Strong knowledge of heating and cooling systems
* Experience with steam systems and/or BMS (advantageous)
* Ability to work safely within a critical, high-compliance environment
* Willingness to work a rotating 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (days & nights)
* Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented
