Shift Maintenance Engineer Permanent | Corby
Salary: £41,000 per year

ECHO Personnel are recruiting a permanent Shift Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established leader in plastic recycling and packaging manufacturing based in Corby. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a hands-on role where your skills will directly impact production efficiency and site performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure smooth production operations

  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and minimise downtime

  • Repair and maintain machinery efficiently to support continuous operations

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised engineering workshop

  • Assist with shift handovers and manage engineering job lists

  • Work closely with the Engineering Manager, Shift Supervisors, and production teams

  • Monitor spare parts inventory and report critical requirements

  • Ensure all health & safety procedures, PPE use, and housekeeping standards are followed

Requirements:

  • Engineering or maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Proactive approach to maintenance and health & safety

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Flexible and adaptable to a rotating shift pattern
