We are seeking a Shift Maintenance Engineer to provide reliable engineering support across planned maintenance, breakdown repairs and remedial works. This role is critical in ensuring site equipment and buildings operate safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime.

Description
Carry out planned maintenance activities in line with engineering and safety standards
Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns safely and efficiently
Complete remedial engineering works as directed by the Engineering Manager
Maintain and manage knowledge of on-site spare parts and plant assets
Communicate effectively with production teams and engineering colleagues
Identify, report and escalate any safety risks or potential equipment failures
Adhere to all health and safety legislation, site procedures and safe systems of work
Maintain high housekeeping standards across all work areasShift Pattern-Double Days (04:00-12:00 / 10:00-18:00)
Profile
Holds a recognised engineering qualification (ONC in Electrical Engineering or similar)
Is skilled in both electrical and mechanical maintenance
Has strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a high attention to detail
Communicates confidently at all levels, both verbally and in writing
Is comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new CMMS or IT systems
Demonstrates flexibility, self-motivation and the ability to make sound decisions
Is willing to work unsocial hours, including potential night shifts
Has knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and steam systemsJob Offer
Salary up to £40,000 per annum
