Shift Maintenance Electrician – Sunderland – Leading Data Centre FM Provider
CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Shift Maintenance Electrician to join a globally recognised facilities management company, operating within a mission-critical data centre environment in Sunderland . This permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician to work within a high-security, technical setting, supporting the maintenance and reliability of essential building and electrical systems.
Package:
\n Salary:  £41,000.00 plus 13% shift allowance.  Plus £1,500 per year for HVAP.
\n
4-on / 4-off shift pattern – days and nights (average of 40 hours per week)
\n
Work-life balance: Only working half the year due to shift structure
\n
25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
\n

Pathways to High Voltage (HV) or Low Voltage (LV) Authorised Person certification

Key Responsibilities:
\n Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a wide range of electrical systems
\n
Regularly test and maintain emergency generators to ensure full operational readiness
\n
Ensure fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and CCTV remain compliant and fully functional
\n
Support the maintenance of critical air handling and cooling systems
\n
Collaborate with engineering colleagues and contractors to deliver a safe and efficient maintenance service
\n
Adhere to health & safety policies and contribute to a high-performance team culture
\n
Qualifications
\n NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (or equivalent)
\n
City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
\n
Additional electrical or building services certifications are advantageous
\n
Proven background in electrical maintenance within the facilities management or building services sector
\n
Prior experience in a critical environment (e.g., data centres, healthcare, telecoms) is desirable
\n
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
\n
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics
\n
Comfortable working a rotating day/night shift pattern
\n
Full UK driving licence but not essential
\n
