Job Title: Shift Leader (M&E) Location: Oxford Street, London Salary: £55,000 per annum Working Hours: 4 On, 4 Off – Days & Nights (7:00am–7:00pm / 7:00pm–7:00am)
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Shift Leader to join the engineering team at a flagship retail site in Central London.
This role is based within a large, high-profile commercial environment, working as part of a well-established engineering team responsible for maintaining a complex and busy building.
The Role:
• Leading a shift team delivering maintenance across M&E systems. • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works. • Supporting electrical and mechanical systems across the site. • Ensuring all works are completed in line with health & safety and compliance standards. • Working closely with the Shift Manager, engineers and wider site team. • Assisting with day-to-day operations and technical support on shift.
The Team:
• Large on-site engineering team (up to 27 engineers). • Shift team of 6 including Shift Manager, engineers and support staff.
Package:
• £55,000 basic salary • 4 on, 4 off shift pattern (days and nights) • 23 shift days annual leave • Overtime available at x1.75 • 6%–8% pension contribution • Private medical and life cover • Sick pay • Employee rewards programme • Ongoing training and progression opportunities
Requirements:
• Electrical or Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent). • Experience within building services or commercial maintenance environments. • Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role desirable. • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
