Duties for the Sheet Metal Worker will include:-
Reading engineering drawings, diagrams and specifications to gain a thorough understanding of the work required
Measuring metal precisely and marking ready to cut
Use all cutting tools to prepare sheet metal
Shaping, drilling and bending sheet metal to fabricate parts or components
Welding, bolting, brazing and soldering sheet metal to join together
Successful candidates will:-
Have 5+ years of experience working as a sheet metal worker
Be able to read engineering drawings
Be confident working with thin sheets of metal
Be able to weld stainless steel confidently
Ideally have your own weld helmet and overalls
Standard hours of work are 0730 1600 with overtime regularly available
Pay Rates are £17.00 £21.00p/h depending on experience and time and a half after 8hrs a day.
This is a temp to perm position for the right candidate with immediate starts available.
