7am-5pm - Four-day working week with full-time hours, offering improved work-life balance

Our client is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join their production team. The primary function of this role is to carry out all aspects of sheet metal fabrication while ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently met. You will work closely with management and supervision, reporting into the Operations Manager, and will play a key role in maintaining efficient production processes and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities and duties

Carry out all sheet metal fabrication activities to a high standard and within agreed timescales
Ensure production targets are met through effective communication, motivation, and teamwork
Provide regular feedback to the Production Manager and supervisory team to support process and quality improvements
Ensure the correct quantity of parts are produced efficiently and to specification
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and plans
Set up and operate ancillary sheet metal machinery, including:
Saws
Tube bending equipment
Drilling, countersinking, and tapping machines

Spot welding equipment
Set up and operate a Trumpf 1000 punch press (training provided if required)
Set up and operate press brakes (training provided if required)
Manufacture jigs and fixtures as required

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication
Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings
Experience operating sheet metal machinery and fabrication equipment
High attention to detail and quality
