JRS Associates have partnered up with an exciting precision engineering company to recruit a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator / TIG Welder to join their established manufacturing team.
The business provides components through to full assembly, supporting everything from low-volume prototype and development work through to high-volume manufacturing solutions. They specialise in precision sheet metal work and machined components, supplying industries including Aerospace, Defence, Nuclear, Automotive, Oil & Gas, Scientific and Instrumentation across UK and European markets.

The Successful Sheet Metal Fabricator / TIG Welder – Package:

The Successful Sheet Metal Fabricator / TIG Welder – Requirements:
*
Fabrication and welding of precision sheet metal products and assemblies
*
Strong TIG welding capability (majority of work), with MIG experience also beneficial
*
Shaping and forming metal using hammers, anvils, blocks, and formers
*
Soldering and welding to join sheet metal components
*
Inspecting, assembling, and smoothing seams and joints to high cosmetic and dimensional standards
*
Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
*
Able to work consistently to tight tolerances, including 0.25mm on welded assemblies
*
Previous coded welding experience or the ability to pass a welding coding test (mandatory)
*
Experience working to aerospace or high-integrity specifications (highly advantageous)
*
Time-served sheet metal worker or completed metal fabrication / welding apprenticeship
*
Able to work safely and independently in an engineering environment
