Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Advisor\n\nA well-established contracting business specialising in residential groundworks for leading housing developers across the UK. With a strong reputation for quality and safety, the company continues to expand year on year, delivering infrastructure and foundation works across hundreds of sites nationwide. The Eastern Counties region is now seeking a dedicated Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Advisor to join the team and support projects across Cambridge, Peterborough, Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.\n\nLocation\nPrimarily site-based around Cambridge, with projects extending to Peterborough and Milton Keynes.

Travel to approximately 30 sites across the region, with one office day on average per week.\n\nSalary and Benefits\n\n * £35,000 to £50,000 depending on experience\n\n * Company car or car allowance (£1032 per month)\n\n * Full-time, permanent role\n\n * Hours: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm\n\n * Start date: ASAP\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Provide support and guidance to senior management and site teams on SHE matters\n\n * Attend pre-commencement meetings and contribute to early project planning\n\n * Assist with statutory notices and ensure compliance with legislation\n\n * Highlight breaches of company policy, procedures or statutory requirements to senior leaders\n\n * Promote a positive health and safety culture across all sites\n\n * Support the Regional SHE Manager in developing strategies and internal policies\n\n * Produce risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)\n\n * Conduct planned site visits and audits, reporting findings and ensuring follow-up actions\n\n * Deliver on-site training including toolbox talks and identify training needs\n\n * Investigate accidents and incidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented\n\n * Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and other relevant legislation\n\nRequirements\n\n * NEBOSH qualification essential, IOSH desirable\n\n * Previous experience as a Health and Safety Advisor\n\n * Background in groundworks, civil engineering or residential new build projects preferred\n\n * Strong auditing and monitoring skills\n\n * Ability to work independently and contribute to wider company strategy\n\n * IT literate with excellent communication skills\n\n * Full, clean driving license\n\nApplication Process\n\nWhen submitting CVs, please ensure the following information is included:\n\n * Postcode\n\n * Notice period\n\n * Current salary\n\n * Reasons for leaving the two most recent roles\n\n * Interview availability\n\nGet in touch with Sally Whittingham, apply online, call or email
