Our client in Blackburn is looking to recruit a Sewing Machinist for an ongoing role out of their manufacturing and distribution site. The role will involve: Using various sewing machines including Twin Needle, Overlock and Walking Foot Using materials including leathers, velvets and high-end fabrics Checking work orders to determine amount of material needed Following drawings and designs Piping Upholstery work Measure and cutting of materials Housekeeping The working times and pay: Monday to Friday 07:30-16:30 and 07:30-12:30 on Fridays 39 hours per week after breaks £13.00 - £13.50 p/h initially Ongoing role, potentially perm for suitable candidates Skills/Experience Needed: Previous Sewing machine experience with Overlock, Twin Needle and Walking Foot Upholstery experience Worked in the same industry recently or within the last 3 years Ability to read designs, measure materials and cut where needed If you are interested in this role please apply with an updated CV.
