Sewing Machinist

Our client in Preston is looking to recruit a Sewing Machinist for an ongoing role out of their manufacturing and distribution site.
The role will involve:
Using various sewing machines, mainly overlock
Producing garments
Checking work orders to determine amount of material needed
Following drawings and designs
Measure and cutting of materials
Housekeeping and machine maintenance
The working times and pay:
Monday to Friday
08:00-16:30 and 07:30-12:30 on Fridays
39 hours per week after breaks
£12.71 p/h initially
Permanent role
Skills/Experience Needed:
Previous Sewing machine experience with Overlock essential
Worked in the same industry recently or within the last 3 years
Ability to read designs, measure materials and cut where needed
