Teamforce Labour are recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering a major infrastructure scheme in Leiston. This is a permanent, long-term opportunity offering job security and the chance to work on complex civils packages.
The Role Working as part of the site engineering team, you will be responsible for the accurate setting out of a range of civil engineering works, ensuring delivery is in line with design, programme, and quality standards. Typical works will include groundworks, drainage, foundations, roads, and reinforced concrete structures.
Key Responsibilities Setting out for a variety of civils works including drainage, earthworks, roads, and RC structures Interpreting and working from engineering drawings, specifications, and models Establishing and maintaining site control, including surveys and benchmarks Carrying out as-built surveys and maintaining accurate site records Liaising with site management, design teams, and subcontractors to coordinate works Identifying and resolving discrepancies between drawings and site conditions Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with health, safety, and environmental standards Supporting QA processes, including inspections and documentationRequirements Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer within civil engineering projects Strong knowledge of surveying equipment such as GPS and total stations Experience with drainage, earthworks, and structural setting out Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications CSCS card (essential) HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering or related field (preferred)What’s on Offer Permanent role with a long-term secured project Competitive salary and package Opportunity to work with a reputable civils contractor Career progression and development opportunitiesEqual Opportunities Statement: Teamforce Labour is an equal opportunities employer.
