Job Description

A Service Technician is sought to join an innovative engineering team in Dover, Kent, contributing to the maintenance, repair, and validation of high-voltage test equipment and cable test van systems.\n\nThe Service Technician, Dover, Kent, will be expected to develop your understanding in the field, learning from peers and senior engineers in technical areas and industry best practices. This may include high-voltage systems, servicing processes, safety standards, and customer site operations.\n\nResponsibilities include:\n\nWork with service, engineering, and customer support teams to define service requirements and maintenance specifications.\nCarry out servicing, inspections, and repairs on high-voltage instruments and cable test vans using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.\nDevelop and execute service procedures for maintenance, inspections, and repairs.\nDebug and validate electrical systems using test equipment such as multimeters and diagnostic tools.\nCollaborate with internal teams and customers for seamless service delivery.\nMaintain comprehensive technical and service documentation, including reports and risk assessments.\nSupport customers and internal teams with technical queries and on-site service activities. \n\nKey skills & experience:\n\nQualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.\nProficiency with diagnostic tools, service equipment, and reporting systems.\nPractical experience with electrical systems, fault finding, and high-voltage equipment.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\nEffective communication and teamwork abilities.
