Vehicle Service Advisor vacancy in Cardiff Our client, a reputable franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealership in Cardiff, is actively seeking an experienced and professional Vehicle Service Advisor to join their friendly and dedicated team. Benefits: * Competitive starting salary of up to £32,598 per annum, increasing to £33,575 after 6 months * Access to a commitment bonus of £600 per annum and a profit-sharing bonus scheme * Additional earnings through commissions from the sale of service contracts * 22 days annual holiday allowance plus 8 bank holidays, increasing to 25 after 5 years and 27 after 10 years of service * Full manufacturer-accredited training programme * Company pension scheme * Career progression opportunities within a long-standing commercial vehicle dealer group * Working hours of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 7:00am and 6:00pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:00am to 1:00pm Duties of a Service Advisor: * Accurately capturing customer details and vehicle faults at the initial point of contact * Taking inbound customer calls and booking service appointments * Raising job cards and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and compliant * Informing customers of vehicle progress and advising on repairs * Managing customer database updates and accurate record-keeping * Handing over vehicles to customers upon completion, providing detailed explanations of repairs * Monitoring repair progress to meet delivery deadlines * Selling aftersales services, including service contracts and warranties * Arranging payment with customers and discussing service requirements * Scheduling MOT and vehicle inspections, ensuring compliance with legal requirements * Providing excellent customer service through strong communication and organisation skills * Utilising Microsoft Office, Excel, and DMS systems (preferably Kerridge/ADP) Requirements: * Previous experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor within a franchise-approved vehicle dealership essential * Strong customer service and communication skills * Excellent organisational skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, and DMS systems * Full, clean UK driving licence with minimal points * Experience within a commercial vehicle dealership is desirable * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and deliver top-level customer satisfaction If you are a driven and experienced Vehicle Service Advisor seeking a challenging role within a reputable dealership, this is an outstanding opportunity to advance your career.
