Aspire Learning is an independent primary school in Croydon.We provide inspirational, nurture-based specialist SEND education to pupils aged 5 - 11 years old and are now looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team.

We are looking for TA's who have specific experience working with younger children with SLCN and communication difficulties. There is a level of personal care involved.

What you’ll get to do:

Assisting students in their educational and social development. Provide support inside and outside of the classroom, so they can fully engage in a wide range of activities. Help to set up activities for students, using technology or adjusting the environment to suit their needs. Support teachers, engaging with students, providing learning support, and reacting to situations in the classroom in a positive, non-disruptive manner. Working 1:1 with some students, to give them the time and support they need to learn.What we’re looking for from you:

Experience of working with children who have behavioural support needs with a good knowledge of behavioural management techniques and strategies Grade C or above GCSE in English and Math, or L1/2 equivalent functional skills qualification Hold or be willing to work towards a recognised teaching assistant qualificationWhy work for us?
