SEN / PMLD Non-Verbal LSA (Learning Support Assistant) Specialist School in Brent Full-Time | Term-Time Only

Nurture Education is recruiting for an experienced and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support students with SEN, PMLD, and non-verbal needs in a specialist setting in Brent.

This is a highly rewarding role suited to a skilled LSA with hands-on experience supporting pupils with complex needs, including those who are non-verbal and require personal care and tailored communication approaches.

About the Role

As an SEN / PMLD LSA, you will provide dedicated support to students with profound and multiple learning difficulties. The successful LSA will work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver personalised support, helping students access learning and develop communication and life skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide 1:1 and small group support as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

* Support students with PMLD and non-verbal communication needs

* Use alternative communication methods (e.g. PECS, Makaton, visual aids)

* Assist with personal care and physical support where required

* Support sensory activities and tailored learning programmes

* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff

* Promote student engagement, comfort, and wellbeing
