We are looking for a passionate, creative and reflective SEN Maths Teacher to join the team at Baston House School. About the Role As our SEN Maths Teacher, youll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, inclusive maths education that is carefully tailored to meet individual needs. Working with small groups and individual learners, youll design engaging, accessible lessons that support academic progress, personal development and wellbeing. Youll be part of a supportive, collaborative school community, working closely with teaching colleagues, Learning Support Assistants, care staff and families to ensure every student receives consistent, joined-up support. This role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys adapting learning creatively, values strong relationships, and is driven to achieve positive outcomes for every learner. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver and teach high-quality Maths lessons to individual students and small groups, adapting learning to meet a wide range of needs. Devise schemes of work and develop innovative, engaging learning modules that promote progression across key stages. Monitor, assess, record and report on student progress in line with school and regulatory requirements. Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans, behaviour plans and other relevant support plans. Organise the classroom environment, resources and displays to create a stimulating and supportive learning space. Ensure lessons are planned with pupil safety in mind, in line with risk assessments for on-site and off-site activities. Provide clear direction and guidance to Learning Support Assistants, Tutors and other support staff to ensure effective delivery of learning. Promote students physical, educational, social and moral development in line with school policies and values. Contribute to whole-school improvement priorities and developments linked to the School Development Plan. Coordinate the teaching, assessment, recording and reporting of agreed subjects or areas of learning across key stages, as directed by the Head Teacher. Use, store and maintain learning resources and equipment efficiently and safely. Maintain accurate records in line with company policies and regulatory standards. Communicate regularly with colleagues, care staff and families to ensure a consistent and joined-up approach to education and support. Liaise with other departments to ensure continuity and consistency across all aspects of students education and care. Keep up to date with developments in Maths, SEN practice and wider educational approaches. Implement all relevant education policies and procedures consistently. Meet the Professional Standards for Teachers and actively contribute to a positive school culture.
