This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, people-focused consultancy working across a diverse portfolio of development-led transport planning projects in the UK.
The role offers a blend of technical responsibility, client engagement, project leadership, and real input into business growth - all within a supportive, flexible, and progressive environment.
The Role
You'll be delivering and leading a range of transport planning services, including:
Preparation of Transport Statements, Assessments, Travel Plans, and Site Access Appraisals.
Travel Plan Coordinator duties.
Junction capacity modelling (ARCADY, PICADY).
Signal design and traffic modelling using LinSig.
Preliminary junction/access design in AutoCAD.
Swept Path Analysis using AutoTrack.
Preparing high-quality plans and graphics using GIS or CorelDRAW.
Supporting project management, client communications, and fee proposals.
Contributing to bids and wider business development activities.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with strong technical skills and a commercial mindset who enjoys working collaboratively while taking ownership of their work.
Requirements:
Background in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, or Geography.
Experience in development-focused transport planning.
Skilled in relevant modelling and design software (ARCADY, PICADY, LinSig, AutoCAD, AutoTrack).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Membership of (or working towards) a professional body such as CIHT or ICE.
