We’re working with a well-established industrial software company with a strong global presence, now investing heavily in greenfield R&D projects out of their Cambridge office.
They’re hiring multiple Senior and Principal Software Engineers to help design and build the next generation of their platform—combining deep technical challenges with the backing and stability of a proven business.
This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-impact systems in a team that values engineering excellence and long-term thinking.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and build new, greenfield systems within the R&D function
- Work across the full lifecycle—from architecture through to deployment
- Develop high-performance, scalable applications for industrial use cases
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, research, and infrastructure
- Contribute to technical direction and architectural decisions (especially at Principal level)
- Leverage cloud technologies to modernise and scale platforms
What They’re Looking For
- Strong experience in C#, C++, Java, or similar languages
- Proven background building robust, scalable systems
- Solid experience with cloud platforms, ideally Azure
- Experience working in complex or distributed systems environments
- Track record of technical leadership and architecture ownership
- Ability to influence engineering standards and mentor others
