Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer London
I'm currently working with a well-established building services engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team. With over 30 years' experience delivering mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) engineering design , the consultancy works across a wide range of sectors including commercial, residential, healthcare, education, leisure and mixed-use developments . They provide practical, sustainable engineering solutions and support projects from early feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and project completion .
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who can lead mechanical design work, manage projects and support the development of junior engineers .
The Role As a Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will:

\n Lead the mechanical design on a variety of building services projects
\n
Deliver projects from concept design through to completion \n
\n
Produce and review mechanical calculations, specifications and technical reports \n
\n
Design systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning and domestic water services \n
\n
Coordinate with architects, structural engineers and other design disciplines \n
\n
Attend client and design team meetings \n
\n
Support the mentoring and development of junior engineers \n
\n
Contribute to low carbon and sustainable design strategies \n
\n
\n
About You
\n
\n Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering \n
\n
Proven experience working within a building services consultancy \n
\n
Strong knowledge of mechanical building services design , including HVAC systems
\n
Experience delivering projects across sectors such as commercial, residential, healthcare or education \n
\n
Familiarity with relevant design standards and industry software
\n
Chartered or working towards Chartership (CIBSE / IMechE) is desirable
\n
Confident managing projects and engaging directly with clients
\n
\n
