Salary: Senior£35,000 - £45,000
Principal - £45,000 -£55,000 negotiable
Coordinate and manage EIA in a range of sectors such as energy, water and transport.

Support clients across the whole project lifecycle, from initial feasibility and optioneering, through assessment and consenting, construction/implementation, operation and ultimately decommissioning.
The Role
As a Principal Environmental Consultant, you will work closely with the technical discipline teams across the country to deliver a diverse array of projects namely in Energy, Water & Transport.
- Ensure projects comply with all relevant environmental regulations and standards.
- Identify potential environmental risks and propose effective mitigation measures to minimise potential environmental impacts within your projects
- Manage, co-ordinate and lead to deliver high quality assessments to time and to budget.
- Be client facing across the project lifecycle, leading as Project Manager
- Deal with sub-contractors such as noise, flood, ecology, etc
- Collaborate & communication to deliver multi-disciplinary projects
- Future opportunities to contribute to business development, mentoring & guidance to junior team members.
Essential Attributes:
- Enthusiastic, positive, diplomatic and articulate.
- Bachelors or Masters in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional membership of a relevant institution
- Principal -7+ years consultancy experience.
- Senior - 3+ years consultancy experience
- Proven experience in delivering EIAs on medium to large projects for a range of clients.
- Excellent project management experience and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and enthusiastic and confident with clients.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant environmental laws, regulations, and guidance.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Experienced in tender preparation and bid writing.
Desirable:
- Water, Energy (renewables solar, wind, Battery Energy Storage Systems) or Transport industry experience
- Experience across different planning regimes (TCPA, DCO, Highways Act etc)
