Senior Verification Engineer
Electronics | Compliance | Validation & Testing
If you’re the kind of engineer who wants to prove designs actually work — not just assume they do — this is your space.
This Senior Verification Engineer role is all about ownership. You’re the person ensuring that complex electronic products meet their requirements, comply with standards, and perform exactly as intended in the real world.
You won’t just be running tests — you’ll be shaping verification strategy, influencing design decisions, and guiding others to deliver robust, compliant products.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Verification Engineer, you’ll act as a key technical authority within the engineering team — driving verification from early requirements through to final validation.
Your role will include:
* Acting as a subject matter expert on standards, specifications and compliance requirements
* Owning requirements management and validation, from system review through to final design sign-off
* Developing and implementing verification strategies to demonstrate compliance with system architectures
* Identifying and resolving complex issues during verification and validation activities
* Creating and maintaining test plans, procedures and detailed reports
* Leading verification activities across functional, environmental, electrical and EMC testing
* Managing relationships with external test houses, ensuring qualification programmes are delivered effectively
* Supporting project planning, defining work packages and ensuring delivery to time, cost and quality targets
* Mentoring and guiding junior verification engineers, ensuring high standards across the team
* Driving continuous improvement across engineering processes, tools and methodologies
* Ensuring adherence to configuration management processes and highlighting gaps or risks
This is a role where your work directly determines whether a product is ready for the real world.
The Kind of Engineer Who Thrives Here
You’re someone who naturally questions things. You don’t just accept that a design works — you want to prove it, stress it, and understand its limits.
You’re comfortable working across the full development lifecycle, and you enjoy collaborating with design, systems and test teams to ensure nothing gets missed.
You’re also someone who takes ownership — whether that’s leading verification strategy, mentoring others, or stepping in to solve complex technical challenges.
What You’ll Bring
* Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Around 8+ years’ experience within a product development environment
* Strong background in verification and validation of electronic systems
* Understanding of the full engineering lifecycle, from requirements through to production
* Experience working within regulated environments, ideally aerospace
* Hands-on experience with RTCA DO-160 or similar environmental/qualification standards
* Proven ability to write test plans, procedures and verification reports
* Experience managing and coordinating external test houses
* Ability to conduct in-house and external testing across electrical, environmental and EMC domains
* Strong awareness of health & safety requirements
Desirable Experience
* Familiarity with Boeing OR Airbus
* Experience with requirements management tools
* Exposure to AutoCAD or SolidWorks
* Experience using LabVIEW
* Understanding of software validation
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Why This Role Stands Out
This Senior Verification Engineer role gives you real influence. You’re not just executing tests — you’re shaping how verification is done, improving processes, and ensuring products meet the highest standards.
You’ll work across multidisciplinary teams, engage with external partners, and play a critical role in delivering safe, reliable and compliant products.
If you enjoy being the person who signs off that something is truly “ready” — this is exactly that kind of role
